Mango Custard

Mango Custard is perfect indulgence for the season. Light and creamy dessert can be enjoyed by everyone. If you are looking for interesting dessert idea for some special occasion, mango custard is definately worth trying.


Pulp of 2 alphonso mangoes

1 mango chopped

1/2 litre milk

50 ml fresh cream

4 tbsp sugar (adjust as per taste)

2 tbsp custard powder


Roughly chop mangoes and blend it into pulp. Keep refrigerated till further use.

Take 1/4 cup milk in a cup and mix custard powder so that there are no lumps. Boil the remaining milk. Once it comes to boil add sugar and let the sugar dissolve. Now mix the custard powder with milk on low flame. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. Boil for 2-3 minutes. The mixture will now thicken.

Now cool the mixture. Keep stirring occasionally to avoid the formation of creamy film on top. Once it comes to room temperature, refrigerate it.

At the time of assembling mix the custard and mango pulp. You may whisk it to get the desired homogenous consistency. Then add chopped mangoes in it. Some other fruits like bananas, apples according to preference can be added

Take a glass. Put some chopped mangoes at the bottom. Then fill with mango custard mixture. Garnish with mango pieces. Serve chilled. Delicious mango custard is ready.
