Apple Kheer

Apple kheer is a simple anytime dessert liked by everyone. It has goodness of apples & milk with mild flavour of cardamom.





Ingredients


2 peeled & grated apples

1/2 litre milk

4-5 cashews

3-4 pistachios

3 tbsp sugar 

250 ml fresh cream

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Method

Take 2 apples & peel & grate them. In a pan cook the grated apples till it gets soft.

In another pan boil milk. Milk can be reduced if desired. I have added 250 ml fresh cream to the milk to make the milk thick. Now mix sugar to it.

Grind 3-4 cashews in mixer till fine paste. Add this paste to the milk to give extra richness to the kheer. Along with cashew grind 2 tsp of cooked apple to get nice apple flavour to the kheer.


Keep stirring it gets thick. Turn off the heat & sprinkle cardamom powder. Garnish with pistachios.

Apple kheer is ready. Can be refrigerated before serving. It makes excellent & easy to serve dessert.
