Batata Bhaji ( Potato Fritters)

Batata Bhaji is another popular street food in Mumbai. Popular Monsoon snack which is relished by kids and grown ups.






Ingredients

2 sliced potatoes

Gram flour

2 tsp Rice flour

1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp red chilly powder

1 tsp coriander-cumin powder

Pinch of ajwain seeds

1/2 tsp Baking soda Salt to taste

Oil to Fry Method Take sliced potatoes. In a pan take gram flour & mix all the dry ingredients. Add water to make a thick paste. The paste should be able to coat the potato slices. It should not be very runny. Dip each potato slice in the paste.It should be well coated with the flour batter.  Heat oil in pan. Fry the potato fritters in hot oil till golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
