Chicken Liver Masala

Chicken Liver Masala is a very flavourful dish which has all the aromas of dry spices cooked in onion & tomato gravy.


300 gms Chicken Liver

2 sliced onions

1 chopped tomato

1tbsp ginger-garlic paste

2 tbsp yogurt

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp red chilly powder

2 inch cinnamon stick

2 cloves

7-8 pepper corns

Pinch of asafoetida (hing)

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil


Cut liver pieces into one inch size. Marinate with turmeric, red chilly, yogurt, ginger garlic & salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.

In  a pan heat oil. Now add hing, whole spices & saute onions till they get translucent. Then saute tomatoes till they get mushy & cooked. Now mix the marinated chicken liver & cook for 10 minutes. Add water only if required as the gravy should be thick. Adjust the salt. Garnish with coriander leaves. Chicken Liver Masala is ready to be seved.
