Dry Fruits Chikki

Dry Fruits Chikki is a combination of dry fruits & sugar syrup along with the richness of saffron. Chikki is extremely popular among all age groups. It is a perfect healthy anytime snack.This nutty snack is a must during winters.




Ingredients


1/2 cup Cashew Nuts

1/2 cup Sliced Almonds

Handful of pistachios

1 cup Sugar

1tsp ghee

Saffron Strands

1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Method

Roughly chop cashews & slice Almonds. Roast them slightly & keep aside.

In a pan take sugar & heat it till it melts. Now lower the flame & boil for 2 minutes. While the sugar boils add few saffron strands to the sugar mixture. It gives a lovely golden colour.


Now turn off the flame & add cardamom powder. Mix the roasted nuts & pistachios in the sugar syrup.


Grease some ghee on a hard platform. Pour in the mixture. Lightly level it with rolling pin. Mark the squares while the mixture is hot.


Leave aside to cool & then remove the chikki from the surface. Store in airtight container. Yummy nutty chikki is ready.
