Dry Fruits Modak

Dry Fruits Modak is a healthy recipe which can be made on the occassion of Ganpati Festival which is made with dry fruits & dates. There is no sugar added so it is extremely healthy & nutritious. It can be made within 10 minutes.


12 seedless dates

8-10 almonds

5-6 cashews

5-6 walnuts

1/4 tsp cardamom powder


Roughly chop the dry fruits & roast them lightly. Set aside to cool. There is no fixed quantity of any dry fruits. It can be changed as per preference.

Once cooled grind them in grinder to not very fine powder but slightly coarse.

Mash the dates with hand till it forms a dough like consistency. Now Mix the dry fruits powder & cardamom powder.

Mix it well. 1/2 tsp ghee can be added if the mixture is too dry. Add more quantity of dates if desired. The mixture should not be very sticky to handle.

Now grease modak mould with ghee & shape the modaks in the mould. Demould them carefully.Delicious dry fruits modaks are ready.
