Green Moong Dosa is typical breakfast from Andhra Pradesh. It is protein packed, easy to make healthy breakfast or snack recipe which does not require fermentation like the traditional dosa.
1 cup green moong
3/4 cup raw rice
3/4 inch ginger
2-3 green chilies
Handful of coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Oil to drizzle on dosa
Soak green moong and rice separately for 5-6 hours or overnight. Grind moong along with ginger, chilies and coriander. Add some salt while grinding. Little water can be added. Grind it to a coarse paste and keep aside.
Now grind the raw rice to paste. Mix both green moong and rice together. Adjust the salt. Add water as required. The consistency should be like dosa batter,
Heat a pan with little oil. Spread the batter like dosa. It should be spread thin so as to get crispy dosas. The flame needs to be at low to medium so as to spread the batter. If the pan is too hot, the batter will not spread evenly. Drizzle some oil around the dosa. When is gets golden color, remove from pan. Crispy moong dosa is ready. Serve with coconut chutney or molgapudi (gun powder).
