Halwa Fry (Black Pomfret)

Fish fry also plays a major role in the seafood delicacies. Black pomfret here is marinated with spices and fried to perfection It makes an accompaniment to fish curries or even simple dal rice. Dal rice and fish fry is a very preferred combination with seafood fans.





Ingredients

6-7 fresh halwa pieces

1-2 tsp green masala ( green chilies, coriander, garlic)

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilly powder

Salt to taste

1 tsp Tamarind Pulp

2 tsp rice flour 

Oil for frying

Procedure


Clean and wash each fish slice.


Marinate with turmeric, red chilly, green masala, tamarind & salt. Let it marinate for abour an hour.


Heat oil in pan. Coat the pieces in rice flour & shallow fry them. When one side is done, flip it and let it cook on other side. 2 minutes on each side is recommended to get perfect golden brown color.


Serve it hot immediately. It can be relished as starter or accompaniment with other fish curries or dal rice.
