Instant Rava Dhokla can be made quickly without prior planning & preparation. With basic ingredients from the kitchen, it can be prepared in less time & it makes excellent option for breakfast or snacks.
Ingredients
1 cup Rava
1/2 cup yogurt (dahi)
Salt as per taste
1/2 tsp Ginger & chilli paste
1 tsp fruit salt (eno)
Pinch of red chilli powder
Pinch of black pepper powder
Tempering
2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Method
Soak Rava with dahi for 10-15 minutes. Rava will soak the moisture from dahi. Now add some water to adjust the consistency. It should be like idli batter.
Add ginger & chilli paste. Add salt & mix well.
Now add fruit salt & mix carefully. Add pinch of red chilli & black pepper on the top.This is optional.
Steam immediately after addition of fruit salt. Steam for 10 minutes.
Temper with the ingredients given above.When it cools down cut into squares. Insant Rava Dhokla is ready
