Chicken Broccoli Pasta

There are various kinds of pasta.Here I have used the fusilli pasta.This shape is able to hold more sauce in the grooves.Various veggies & meat can be combined in this dish as per choice.I have made it with chicken in a tangy tomato sauce.Take a look at the recipe.





Ingredients


200 gms Fusilli Pasta

100 gms boneless chicken

8-10 florets of broccoli

5-6 button mushrooms

1 red capsicum

1green capsicum

1 tsp black pepper powder

5 medium size tomatoes

1 onion

4 garlic flakes

1tsp red chilly powder

6-7 chopped garlic

1tsp sugar

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste


Method

Boil pasta with salt till it is al dente ( firm but not hard ). Drain it & drizzle some oil on it so that it doesn't stick to each other.


Blanch broccoli with salt for 2 minutes & keep aside. Chop mushrooms, red & green capsicum into cubes.


To make the tomato sauce

Roughly chopped tomatoes, onion & garlic flakes. Heat oil in pan. Then add garlic & stir fry it for a while. Take care not to let the garlic turn brown.


Then add tomatoes & onions.Saute it till it is cooked. Add some salt, sugar & red chilly powder.

Let this mixture cool .Then grind it to paste.


Pasta sauce is ready.


To make pasta

Heat oil in pan.Then add chopped garlic & saute it. Add broccoli, bell peppers & mushrooms & mix well.Then add the boneless chicken & saute it .


When the chicken is cooked add the tomato sauce & boiled pasta. Sprinkle black pepper powder. Adjust salt as per taste.Pasta is ready. Serve hot.Garnish with parsley.
